Taylor Swift Goes Triple Platinum Again as TicketsMate.com Reports That Tickets for Her Sold-Out 2011 Tour Can Still be Bought.
Popular news website RTTNews.com has reported that the sales figures for country superstar Taylor Swift’s latest album ‘Speak Now’ have reached the triple platinum mark. This is the young singer’s third album to have been officially certified by the RIAA as a triple platinum selling album after both her self-titled debut and follow up album ‘Fearless’ broke the multi-platinum mark before this.
The commercial success of the album has also impacted the ticket sales of Swift’s upcoming concert tour as Cambio.com has reported that tickets for the first ten dates of her tour sold out within minutes of going on sale on primary ticket outlets. Tickets for Taylor Swift at the Gillette Stadium and Taylor Swift at the Staples Center disappeared within 5 minutes and 2 minutes respectively after they went on sale. While this seems like distressing news for Taylor Swift fans, they would be pleased to know that tickets for the tour are still available on secondary ticket selling websites. Anastasia Lyman from TicketsMate.com tells us that “While the tickets for the first ten dates of this tour might have sold out from all primary ticket vendors, secondary ticket sellers like us are the saving grace for fans.” Confirming that fans could indeed still get to see the shows, Lyman added, “We still have hundreds of Taylor Swift tickets up for sale on the website for all of the first ten concert dates plus the new dates that have been added.”
Due to the massive demand of tickets for the summer 2011 tour, three new dates have been added to the schedule. Fans will now get to see Taylor Swift in Foxborough on June 26th and fans of Taylor Swift in Los Angeles will get to see her perform at the STAPLES Center on August 27th and 28th. When asked about the impact of the new show dates on ticket prices, Lyman commented, “Adding new dates will hardly affect the demand or prices of the tickets as no matter how many shows they schedule, fans will keep wanting more.”
2010 has been a great year for Taylor Swift. With a highly successful album out that led to a number of Grammy Award nominations and her debut film appearance, the fact that everybody wants to see her live is no surprise. Taylor Swift is well-known for her live shows and fans are buzzing with excitement over the upcoming world tour. Christie Henning from San Jose excitedly exclaimed, “I can’t wait to see Taylor Swift in San Jose, me and my sister went to see her last year and had the best time of our lives.” The excitement and joy of getting to see another Taylor Swift tour has online forums and websites buzzing with commentary on the topic and the demand for tickets continues to sky-rocket as the events draw nearer. Let’s hope the fans get what they have been waiting for.
