Selena Gomez has admitted that she has recently come to understand the importance of standing up for herself.
The Wizards Of Waverly Place actress told Sugar magazine that she was once more concerned with pleasing others than making herself happy. “I used to be much more of a people pleaser than I am today,” she said. “But about two years ago, I started getting better at doing things and making choices that make me happy.”
Gomez further explained that she now feels more confident in her ability to put her own needs first. She added: “I definitely feel like I’m getting stronger.”
Gomez recently claimed that fame is often difficult for young stars to handle.
