One Direction member Zayn Malik has been forced to temporarily leave the band’s nationwide tour with Big Time Rush due to a family tragedy, fellow group member Harry Styles announced on Twitter today.
“Zayn has suffered a loss in his family and has had to go home for a few days, so [he] won’t be at our next shows in the US,” Harry Tweeted. “Our thoughts are with him and his family at this sad time.”
While there’s no official word yet on just how long Zayn will be away from the tour, the upcoming shows likely to be affected include Mashantucket, CT (March 1), Washington, DC (March 2), and Boston, MA (March 3).
